Car Not Sold
Ups and downs are our norm here at the warehouse. The car we had sold for $650 was not sold by the end of the day. The guy was short of cash, BUT that is GOOD. Sharon looked up 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Brougham cars on Ebay and they are selling for around $1800. Today I am replacing the air filter, changing the oil and oil filter and replacing the spark plugs. I am done except for the oil change. It is running smoother already.
When I am done, I will take it out on the road and run it hard up one of our local grades to try and blow out some of the carbon I am sure a 92 year old driver built up. Not many older folks are real hot rodders. Also, they do not put a lot of mile on a car. After the drive I will have it smogged. I hope it passes.
Sharon and I are both getting up at 5:00 a.m. now. This is our planning and talking time. We absolutely need to get our act together and get our business going better. We need to work on our $10,000 in 90 days challenge. We just plain need a solid plan. Something we can measure progress against. Money is gauge. Quantity of pages we write is a gauge. Number of products we advertise is a gauge.
Our initial goal is not to make the money needed to meet the challenge. The first thing is to get a solid plan in place that at the end of each day we can look at it and actually measure what has been done.
There is a rally this month that we will miss. It is the SAL or San Anotion Lake rally. I really wish we were going, but maybe by this time next year we will have all of our ducks in a row and attending rallies like we have in the past. In two years we attended 11 rallies. We need to beat that record.
