ISP Problems -- Can't Send Email

My ISP, which is Earthlink DSL, changed their log in procedures for internet access and for email.  They messed up my ability to log onto the internet and made it impossible to send email.  They sent me an email that said internet access would change and what to do about it, but not warning about the email change and problems.

I called Earthlink and am sure I was talking to people in India based on each person’s accent.  They were useless and could not solve any of my problems.

For the last five years I have had two computers hooked up to the internet through a 10Base T Hub.  Both computers would connect to the internet at the same time.  Now, I can only connect one computer at a time to the internet.  The tech told me what I was doing for the last five years was not possible.  Talk about a useless tech. OH, WAIT!  That wasn’t the tech, that was who they turned me over to when I asked for a supervisor.  I still need to solve this problem so Sharon and I can both be on the internet at the same time.

The email problem was solved by going to Eudora, who makes my email program and looking in their online forum.  After reading a few posts I figured out how to make my email work.  Again, Earthlink had no clue how to solve my problem.  I give them an F minus for service and a double minus for out sourcing their tech support to India.

On the brighter side, none of this got me actually upset.  Bothered, yes, but not upset.  I am pretty laid back with the problems in life. I hope this low stress level helps me live a long long life.

The warehouse now has four foot wide isles again.  We are making huge progress in that area.  We are exercising daily when we are here.   Another area we are doing great in.  Making money is not doing so great. I am procrastinating on doing all the things I KNOW I should be doing.  Turning my life around takes time.  We are 100% better at doing things than we were at the beginning of this year, but have a 1000% more to go to get where we would like to be.

With gas prices high like they are I better start getting serious about income.  The Bounder gets under 6 miles per gallon. A 600 mile trip would take over 100 gallons of fuel.  That is $230 just getting there and then $230 getting back.  I do not think we will be making any weekend trips that are long distances.  If we make a longer trip we will make it 4 to 5 days at least so the cost is averaged out better by the day.
