Broken Truck Widow Installed

WOW! What a relief.  Our broken truck window (thieves did it) was replaced yesterday and instead of the initial quoted price of up to $250, we got it for $120.  Actually $130. I gave the guy a little extra since he had to come to our place twice to get the job done.

This whole episode has cost us about $300 in loses to some low life.  Cash out of pocket has been just under $200 so far. It is a shame the are so many low lifes in the world. Of course they have been around since before grave robbers were raiding the ancient Egyptian tombs, so I guess they’ll be around for a long time to come.

One thing is for certain, you cannot worry about things that are out of your control. If you did, your life could become miserable. You just have to do you best to protect you assets and family and beyond that just smile.

Tonight Sharon and I are going to see the play, “Hair”. Remember, Sharon won tickets on the radio.

Other tickets Sharon won were for the movie, “Flags of Our Fathers”.  It was a good movie, but very intense for the faint of heart.  Solders show with missing arms, a blown off head.  Years ago the movies left the gore to your imagination and it worked very well, but now it seems to be essential to have as much shock value as possible.

We are covered for the rent for another month.  This living month to month is really getting old, but each time we get a head, there are new expenses.  It is interesting to say the least.

There are still no plans for camping in the near future. This is a good time for camping along the California coast. There are open campsites without reservations.
