Having A Great Time -- Wish You Were Here

This camping trip is fantastic.  We started out the morning with breakfast at the beach.  The water was beautiful as usual. The sound of the waves on the rocks below us was marvelous.  It is peaceful and relaxing overlooking the water, waves and sea gulls.

Just after lunch we headed down to the campground and got a spot easily. The campground is almost empty during the week. It is full on the weekend, so it is good we can take off any time we want and camp without reservations.

As usual we saw a couple seals just off shore, one of them was swimming in the waves as they were about to crest.  A little later we saw a pod of dolphins swimming about 1/3 of a football field off shore.  It is alway fun to watch them go cruising by.

One of the highlights of this trip was the water after dark.  The waves would fluoresce as they broke.  The water doesn’t look like we have a red tide, but the glow comes from algae in the water.  When they are disturbed, the give off light.  The waves would break and glow a bluish white color.  It is a beautiful sight to see.

We cooked a steak over the campfire for the two of us.  Yes, only one. We are cutting back on how much we eat.  I have lost about 18 pounds since May 1 this year and want to keep going for about another 50 pounds.
