Getting Started and Moving Forward
Sharon and I are making plans to be out of this warehouse in a year’s time. We are getting started and moving forward. Our GET OUT Date is November 13, 2007. We have a lot to do between now and then.
If this all works as planned, we will be out from under the weight of of mill stone (this warehouse and its rent) and moving to a new city. Oxnard is to heavily laden with gangs and crime. In the last four years, we have had five murders within a 5 block radius from our business. Our truck was broken into for the first time. We never had this happen in the last 40+ years.
There are so many reasons for us to dump this operation, this warehouse and this lifestyle. One big reason is for us to have the time and money to go camping on a regular basis again. This deal of having a motorhome sitting out behind our business and never moving is not my idea of a good thing.
We have gotten 2/3 of a month ahead on our bills. We need to continue that process and get two, three or more months ahead. We need the cash to move. We need to added income to support us once we do move.
My initial goal is to make $100 a day using internet marketing. My target day for doing that is Sharon’s birthday, February 4, 2007. For any business, $100 a day is not very much money, but it is all we need to set in motion the DUMPING OF THE WAREHOUSE.
I have started a new plan. It is GET UP WHEN I WAKE UP. I often wake up at 4 or 4:30 in the morning for my first pit stop. Normally I go back to bed until 6:00. The last couple mornings I got up at 4:00 and 4:22 and started reading and planning our exit program. At the UCSD website University of California San Diego I read that one study says we can get by on 5 to 7 hours of sleep a night. I plan to start getting only 5 to 7 hours and use that extra time to work on my “game plan”.
We have been in the new house for six months now and have never installed a phone. Tomorrow our home phone will be activated. Once it is on we will add DSL to that line so I can work online during all this extra time I am acquiring.
Yesterday, I got up two hours early and in the afternoon I took a two hour nap. Did I gain any time? YES! My morning time was more productive than my normal afternoon time. Even if I nap, I will be ahead of the game, or at least I believe I will. In the quiet of the early morning I seem to be able to work more effectively.
