Things Are Looking Better For Camping

Because we have been putting in extra effort, things are looking better for camping.  We have been in our new home now for over a month.  We have been starting work a little later each day and stopping a little earlier and yet our income is up.   More money means more camping.

Not only will we get in more camping, but if we keep going at this rate we should be able to attend rallies just as we have been doing in the past.  With gas prices up and some of these rally just over 200 miles away, I was concerned about being able to afford the trips.  5–6 miles per gallon in the Bounder makes you think twice if the budget is low.

We could camp more often closer to  home for the money we spend on rallies but there is something about camping with a group of friends that makes it all worth while.  Also, on those longer trips we take an extra day or two and make it 4 or five days and turn it into a mini-vacation.

It is too bad the person who turned us into the city will never know the favor they did us.  I get a chuckle out of it every day that we do well selling on Ebay. It is almost amazing how our life has turned around since the city first knocked on our door.  They even improved our prospects for camping. Wouldn’t they love to know that?  FUNNY!

The really great part of all this is that Sharon and I never actually got upset about it. It never became a big issue to worry about. Yes, we were concerned about finding a place to live. Of course we wondered how our finances would make it, but everything has turned out better than we could have hoped.
