Two Weeks Left Until Camping
Only two weeks left until we go camping again. YIKES! That also means only two weeks left until the end of the year. That is almost hard to believe. Another year has flown by.
This past year we got some good camping in. We attended a number of rallies and met a lot of great people. Getting into RVing has been one of the best decisions we have made in a long time. Camping has given us time off. It has refreshed our spirit and given us a clearer outlook on possibilities for our life.
Normally we make our local camping trips only one night unless we are meeting up with someone, like we did Thanksgiving. I think this New Year’s Eve we will make it two nights of camping. We will make it a full 3 days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I need to buy more firewood to do that.
I didn’t get my oil changed like I have hoped to do before our last outing, but I will get is done this year … within the next two weeks. I also need a relay for my levelers that keep giving me problems. I hope it is the relay, but it is a cheap fix to find out. My entry door is still giving me a slight problem. There is a plastic shim that is very worn. It may be part of the problem. Camping World did not have one or even know what I was talking about. I will check out local RV stores.
OH, why is it that Camping World and probably other places charge so much for an oil change. The board said $89.99 to change oil in a gas motorhome. The only difference I can see in a car and motorhome oil change is the size of the vehicle. It uses about the same amount of oil in a gasser. It uses the same filter, yet it costs way more for a simple oil change.
