Got Water?

OK, corny, but “Got Water?” We do. We bought the $80.99 Shurflo pump from Camping World yesterday and installed it this morning. It is a VERY SIMPLE job. The only thing omplicated is splicing the old connections on the old wires onto the new wires.

I had drained the water line and verified the old pump did not pump water when it was dry and the line was dry. When I installed the new pump, it immediately began pumping water. This is very nice. It was a pain when the pump would lose its prime when we were on the road and had no way of repriming the pump.

Since the pump is higher than the water level in the fresh water tank, it has to suck up air and water to get going. If the pump had been at the level of the base of the watertank, the old pump would probably have kept on working for a long time. It worked when primed, it just could not suck up air and then water.

Sharon an I are getting ready to head over to the Farmer’s Market at the Oxnard Harbor (Channel Islands Harbor). I want some fresh apples and strawberries. I know my cat would love some cat grass. At the Farmer’s Market cat grass is only $1.25 compared to $2.98 or more at the pet stores.
