Happy New Year 2006!
Happy New Year! And Happy Birthday Bob! Today is my birthday. I turned 63 today. Time sure flies when you are having fun. It seems like only yesterday I was marrying my sweet young bride. It is funny how life moves along but I don’t feel any older or even feel as if I am past 60. If I didn’t know it, I could still be in my 30’s or 40’s.
Yesterday afternoon the weather where we were camping cleared and stayed clear all night. We had a fantastic campfire going, but about 10 or so were invited next door to their campfire. There were 10 of us sharing the New Year. Just before midnight I piled the firewood on the fire and had it roaring.
We finally got to bed about 3 a.m. Sharon got up this morning about 7:30 and I slept in until 9:30 for the second day in a row. The rain held off until noon today and started up again and has been going steady ever since. We left the campground just before noon and drove up and parked along the beach for about 3 hours and then headed for home.
It was raining yesterday morning and when it let up, I saw a guy up on his Class C motorhome putting a cover over his air conditioner. Figuring he probably had a leak, I walked down to give my leaking air conditioner advice from when mine leaked. My last leak occurred from loose hold down bolts. When I told the guy about that he removed the inside air conditioner cover and tightened the four large bolts that hold the air conditioner tight to the roof. It poured rain later in the day, but his leak was gone; tightening the bolts solved his problem.
The relay did fix my leveler problem, BUT I got a bad relay. The relay sticks in the on position and I have to tap on it to get the leveler motor to stop running. Luckily this is a quick job, so in the next couple days I will take it off, return it for a another new one and solve the problem.
