Toad Braking Systems -- BrakePro

Your Towed Vehicle Should Have A Braking System Installed

Do you pull a car behind your motorhome? If so you should consider installing a braking system for the car while it is being towed. A TOAD (some say it means, "Towed On All Down") will be safer for your and for traffic around you if its braking is controlled by a braking system in your motorhome. A system which responds every time you apply the brakes. As you brake the motorhome the toad brake system applies pressure to the car brakes. Both vehicles are slow by their own brakes.

The supplemental towed vehicle braking system is required by most states. Check with your state department of motor vehicles for their requirements. Some Canadian provinces require that towed cars over certain weights have supplemental braking systems.

Supplemental systems offer increased safety as you tow:

One popular system is BrakePro.

BrakePro™ helps you stop in a shorter distance—possibly the difference between an accident and a near miss—by activating your towed car’s brakes to supplement your coach brakes.

Why BrakePro (from their literature)
