Things Are Brighter In The Sunshine

It is a cloudy day here in Oxnard, but things sure are brighter in the sunshine of our lives.  Most things do not upset me on the surface, but I am not sure what toll they take down deep inside.  I do know that when things take an upturn I sure feel a lot better.

Today we take the filled in lease agreement back to Rosa, the landlord, with our check for $1600 for the first months rent and security deposit.

Having a place to live and not having to worry about the city any longer means we can get back to work and think about our next camping trip.  Again, it will be close to home at one of the local beach campgrounds.

I wonder how many people will give up RVing completely due to gas prices.  Before you even think about it, remember that a $1.00 increase in gas prices over last year is the same as a latte a day cut from your life.  HUH?

OK, do you know where your money is going each month? Sit down and write it down. List every item you spend money on and total it up. Next, take a small notebook with you everywhere you go and write down anything you spend. That means $1 for a soda, $3.50 for a latte, 25 cents in a gum ball machine and any other amount you spend whether is it large or small. Do this for a week, then continue for a month. It is surprising how much "little things" eat into your finances.

Now look at the list and see what you could cut from your life.

Kick any habit that is costing you $3.50 a day and you'll be amazed at the savings
Cut back on smoking a little, stop the coffee kiosk morning coffee or latte or........"You Decide".
$3.50 SavingsHow Much you save
In one day $3.50 BIG DEAL
In one month$105 Hey, not so bad
In one year$1,260 WOW! you just paid for your camping gas
In 10 years$12,600

Does that help you make a decision today? If so, you won't have to worry about the price of gas. You can sacrifice a very small amount each day and be a big winner.
